Today's MICK-nugget

NYC WANTS YOU (and your small soft drink)

Today we have invited candidates for the Port Authority District 2 seat to join us at 8am.  While the School Board will consider putting a half-cent tax hike in front of us in November (an already long ballot), Matt Reeds says they have work to do before we will buy in.  A letter from one board member falls woefully short in defense of bad acts by the district.  The County Commission decides gas tax allocations today.  Is Florida softening on the FCAT?  Let’s hope so!  London is up in arms about Olympic security.  At least it’s not the IOC attacking its sponsors.  This study says 83% of doctors have considered another line of work because of Obamacare.  NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants to downsize more than your soft drinks…how about your apartment?  A Washington state family is fighting city hall that supports one business to the exclusion of all others.  The new Voter ID law is in court in Texas.  President Obama threatens to veto the Bush tax-cut extension (or Obama tax-hike repeal) if it includes his definition of the wealthy.
