MESSAGE DELIVERED OR LOST?

Symbolism is powerful…especially when the symbol brings memories of some of America’s darkest times.  A black man wearing a KKK hood and sheet is trying to stop black on black crime.  But his method may have overshadowed his message.  This story was emailed to me with a question.  Why do liberals get it both ways?  Either it was the gun or it was the kid.  I’m not sure I agree.  Give the Space Coast Progressive Alliance a little credit…the NRA voice was heard at their forum on gun control.  Our friend Steve Pill is an honorable man and even though his wife’s killer was mistakenly released from jail prior to shooting Deputy Barbara Pill, Steve says the mistakes leading to the arrest were not what killed her.  The interesting question over tax breaks…should the county care what the company getting the breaks does with the money?  Here’s a question for you…how would you react if someone spit on you?  An Orlando cop punched the perp and arrested him for battery on a police officer.  Should the cop be disciplined for hitting the spitter?  A citizen’s review board says no.  A Brevard judge has righted the wrong inflicted on boy who was charged by cops for playing with a toy gun at a bus stop.  Law enforcement professionals, can we please insert some common sense into the insanity over toy guns in this society?  When it comes to real guns, it pays to know when you face a threat and when you don’t.  A Utah man is finding out the hard way.  We’ll talk with School Board Member Andy Ziegler in our 8am hour today.
