I think you should look into the fact that if children qualify for free and reduce lunch the school board gets a big kick back per student under the Federal government program called Title 1. So the schools encourage free and reduced lunch.
NCLB and ALL other like programs receive funding (Though the DOA) based on the number of students are on the free lunch program. The more they add the more money they receive.

Yes Bill there is something else they can do, IF FLORIDA WENT TO YEAR ROUND SCHOOLS they would save 6 BILLION and small classes would be one of the outcomes. Thousands of jobs would be created statye wide.

x-Governor Charlie Crist pardoned Jim Morrison's indecent exposure conviction (March 1969 Miami concert) recently .............i agree Jim Morrison was a Bad Boy/Wild Man Rock Star , however , i heard little circumstantial (hear say) evidence convicted Morrison of indecent exposure at the 1969 Miami concert .....hundreds of flashbulbs (cameras) went off and no photo evidence of Morrison whipping out his schlong..... my oldest sister Paula (1951-2003) was a Doors Fan during their run on the music charts from "Light My Fire (summer-1967) as a teen-ager to "Riders on the storm (1971)" ........Paula told me Jim Morrison was a rock star with a stellar Frank Sinatra type voice that teen-age girls and young women loved..........gosh , i recall as a little boy my oldest sister Paula (beach blonde girl) playing the 45 record "Light My Fire" (#1 summer-1967) over and over and over until the record player needle literally wore out.........a couple of years ago ,
i recall listening late one night on "Coast to coast AM with George Noory (nationwide radio talk show)" and George Noory's guest was Jim Morrison's living sister Ann Morrison talking about her rock star brother's legacy
