Andrea is expected to cross the Florida peninsula before barreling up the Eastern Seaboard
(Miami, FL) -- Tropical Storm Andrea is the first named storm of the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season. Forecasters say Andrea will blast much of Florida tomorrow, bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, rough surf and severe thunderstorms.
Andrea is expected to cross the Florida peninsula before barreling up the Eastern Seaboard. Andrea is likely to drench areas from the mid-Atlantic to New England on Friday and Saturday. The National Hurricane Center says the system has already soaked Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula and western Cuba.
