At least eight tornadoes touched down across the state and more are likely
(Tallahassee, FL) -- Tropical Storm Andrea is spawning tornadoes and dumping huge amounts of rain all across Florida. Florida Governor Rick Scott says the fast-moving system is a good test-run for the six-month hurricane season that's just begun.
Scott says that at least eight tornadoes touched down across the state and more are likely as Andrea moves ashore near Florida's Big Bend area. It'll then on to Georgia and the Carolinas. Scott says there have been no reports of serious damage, but he is urging people to stay off the roads until Andrea passes.
